This is John.
John grew up in Eagan, MN, alongside his two sisters (one of whom is his twin) and eventually attended Luther for nursing (or for Ultimate frisbee... one of the two). He eventually obtained his RN license and has practiced at Mayo Clinic in Rochester and now at Houston Methodist.
But what is really important to know about John is that his life is defined by his compassionate spirit. He chose nursing (and specifically has worked in oncology) out of his great desire to help and serve the people who are struggling the most. And John is the same outside of work, too. You'll find he is the life of any party, working hard to make every guest feel welcomed and important, and he'll offer his bed or couch to anyone that asks. This great sense of care for the people of the world is the driving force behind his politics.
But don't think that just because John is earnest and kind, that he's a pushover. As a former champion of his family's annual reunion competition, he'll give you a run for your money if you challenge him to ping-pong, swimming, running, chess, or cribbage...
